As part of the Ryerson community, our FIRST lab team came together to compete at Ryerson’s Harvest Cook-Off Challenge 2013. We prepared and served a delicious sustainable-based menu using mostly campus grown vegetables for over 100 people. Similarly with our approach to research, we look for ways to make a positive impact in our community and challenge social norms. We even chose to feature edible crickets as an environmentally friendly alternative to meat! It was a huge success and our team had a great time while promoting fresh food on campus.
